On Saturday we met Marcella and her kiddos down at the Italian Festival to Celebrate her birthday. We had a great time hanging out, strolling through blocks and blocks of Italian food. The smell was amazing!!! Fresh Garlic and seasonings were everywhere!

~A Fun Filled Weekend With My Boys~

As soon as Jace was out of school we headed to Kristine and Fabian's house. All the kids played basketball while The adults played horseshoes til it was too dark to see. We ate some pretty awesome chili guacamole burgers and of course had to have red velvet cake!

Saturday morning we went to a kid safety fair at home depot. The boys had a blast! There was a bounce house, fire trucks, a police car, craft area and Bob the Builder. Once we finished all the finger printing and photos for the boys we received their ID cards and free pumpkins. D'Sean wouldn't set his baby pumpkin down for anything! Lol. And with it being Home Depot and all, I had to build their crafts before they could paint them. It was quite funny seeing all the Moms with instructions laid out while all the men just dumped out all the pieces and began hammering away. After many had to tear the pieces apart and start over, we figured we had better stick to the instructions! Who knew little cork bulletin boards, pencil boxes and coasters with holders were so complicated to make!!!

Next stop..... Walmart!!! They were holding a free style motocross tour sponsored by liv fast clothing and monster energy. All eight riders were amazing!!! We got there a little early and one of the guys asked us if we wanted some gear... Of course!!! He gave D'Sean and I shirts, Jace a hat, D'Sean a bandana and Monster energy drinks for me! (which I totally needed to get me through four hours at Walmart) After the first show we saw Melinda and made her hang out with us! Lol.

Sunday we spent the afternoon out at Hairspray Ranch... Lol. D'Sean thought he was in heaven when he got to ride. He is more of a horse fan while Jace loves the dirt bikes.

Sammy didn't have boots and I forgot mine so... We wore Pastors!!!

Last, but not least... DWayne called after school and wanted to hang out. He totally made Jace & D'Sean's night! We headed over and picked up the Smith kiddos and went to the park. With it being a school night, we went home for pizza and ice cream and then had to take them back :( A great beginning to our week!

Boys!

Raising kids is just about the most exciting, maddening, rewarding, exhausting, puzzling and satisfying occupation there is. There's no foolproof system, because all kids are different. But there's no area in the world where loving, common sense and a touch of humor pay such big dividends. I love being a mom!!!

First Day of First Grade!!!

I look to you with hope and pride;
I see your future brightly.
Your deep concerns and aspirations
I will not take lightly.
The future is a mystery
That everyone explores.
I'll share your possibilities,
Embrace your distant shores.
I'll answer you when questions stir,
Encourage you, implore you.
But life's a challenge shaped by dreams,
A gift I can't live for you.
So live it well; respect it fully;
Play your spirit out.
Seek and then discover
All the best that life's about.
Remember that you're not alone--
My love is always there.
The challenge that defines your life
My heart will gladly share.
You're on a voyage into time,
A trip to somewhere new.
You may not always see me there,
But I'll be there with you

Welcome to Ms. Stallwortth's class!!!

And of course the most important thing when starting school is to have an awesome haircut!!!! Thanks Derrick!
